I thought I'd test them, esp. as there's always paypal protection to fall back on.

Order #2610 28/9/14 is still pending, no response to an email a week ago, no response to the raised dispute via paypal on 21/10.

Rather interestingly I had a quick look at the company details for Black Cat Bases Ltd ( Company No. 05594251 ) and noticed it was dissolved some time ago in 15/06/2010, although it's still trading. Paypal account is in that company name, a google brings up that site, etc.  Sounds a little naughty.

I think at this point we can call BCB DOA....  Sad, they had so many interesting things that I would buy in a heartbeat....  Jammer!

Came across this topic by chance three days to late as I placed an order on Tuesday. I feel like a turkey that's just spotted Bernard Manning staring at him 

As anyone on here received an order recently? And if there is a valid reason for lack of communication and people not getting what they have paid for then why not catch up and stop taking more people's money in the meantime.

Maybe I'm wrong to criticise as its only been a few days but reading this thread doesn't fill me with confidence.

Yeah, I feel your pain... some of us have been waiting a year or more.

I didnt ctach this thread until a couple months after I had ordered - too late for paypal redress...

And having their web store still active smacks of fraud...

I've decided to open a dispute since I've sent several emails but got no reply. Normally I would be patient and wait but after reading this thread I can't see the point in sitting and hoping my order will arrive anytime soon.

Sad as they have lots of great products that I'm interested in.

I've escalated the issue with PayPal now to get a refund. The fact that I'm order number 2630 and this is going back to at least orders 2100 ish is a disgrace. No Internet access for over a year    apparently no mobile signal either    how of people's hard earned cash do they have sitting in their PayPal account! Worst experience buying in this hobby so far.
Sort it out!

Is it possible our moderator can modify this topic title and put it as a sticky stating a warning etc  As been 12 months and people are getting caught out perhaps summarise and lock topic as no one seems to be getting anywhere

I agree here.... Let's hope this turns into a Comeback Story and BCB comes back from the dead.  I think we all agree that that would be a great thing.

I believe the website stays on because they haven't turned it off. There are serious problems over at BCB. Unfortunately health problems and it's like a drifting ship, it's still there but nobody at the helm.

Johan - do you know them personally and in a position to talk to them?  I'm half tempted to drive over there as i may be too far gone for paypal disputes.  I dunno.  It bums me out that they can't even send a block email to waiting customers juust to clarify and manage expectations.  If I had that, and even if it said I have to wait a year, I'd be cool with that.

I'm a bit surprised paypal haven't pulled the plug on them.

Very sad they're having problems but as I've said before they need to kill the site shopping card and stick a notice up as this is destroying a very good business drip by drip. If they sold the moulds and gear there's a reasonable business opportunity for an investor to take over which would help everyone but as time rolls on the goodwill is vanishing.

Someone is still paying that bill, or they'd have been turned off long ago...
