Van-Helsing's Old Skool Rogue Trader Stuff
« on: October 26, 2013, 06:15:43 PM »
OK, just a kwikie - one of my many MANY side-projects is to paint some old skool Rogue Trader stuff - and here is the first, Banzai Jones - a Rogue Trader Space Pirate.

(I also plan on using them as part of a Man from 3000 Cast for 7TV as well ;) )

I know, those were the days when Citadel Miniatures had a sense of humour.

Nice painting on that guy.  Most of the that range has the distinctive Bob Olley look to the heads - which are kinda goofy but are definitively RT to me in some ways - but Banzai seems to have come through looking a little more normal.

Getting a full set of those guys painted would be a really nice project.

Im looking forward to seeing Psycho.

Very nicely done, mate!
 :-*

I have just recently managed to complete my collection of Bob Olley's Pirates and hope to start slapping some paint on them next year as part of another RT project.
It was originally only going to be a ships crew but I have since started 'accidentally' adding bits to it.
(You know how it is... ::))/

This thread should provide great inspiration.

As will the idea of using them for a 7TV cast as well.
You clever bugger, you!

Thankies Cheetor, Aggro, & Jonas - I LOVE the old Citadel sculpts - quirky, but full of character.

Very nicely done, mate!

Im still after a couple, a few of the one's I have are suffering from Lead Rot - so I want to replace before I paint as t'wer.

I am ONLY collecting the Olley Space Pirates at the moment (at the moment . . . . . )

The 7TV thing was what started it actually, I wanted a futuristic/alien/rebel/mutant cast to go with the Man from 3000 :D

I will check and see if I have any 'doubles'.
I know for certain that I do have some of the non-Olley Space Pirates, though.

That's the right sort of time. Marines didn't get those Vader knock-off helmets until early 1990.
