I'd say any truck of the era will do.

I agree.

Sloppy Jalopy do some really nice trucks of that period that look fine with Chinese Warlord stuff.

I may have mentioned it here before, but the Sloppy Jalopy models are not for the faint of heart. The end results are nice, but atrocious part fits mean a lot of filing and puttying. At least that has been my experience. Company B do a nice Model T and I am sure there are other kits out there.

Models to use for this period (all the models I've made are so I can game Back of Beyond...I'm selfish that way)

Model T long bed patrol car
Model T Scout Car
Model T Ambulance/Panel Van
Model T Stake Bed Truck
Citroen B2 Halftrack
Sutton Skunk

Stuff that spills over from RCW and why not...
Model T Armored Pickup (we offer Chinese red or white gunners...)
Model Tfc (eh, pretend it was lend lease from Poland)

Some pics of 4 of the Model T's, the Citroen, Sutton and a Holt tractor I've converted from a Sutton:

Lledo stuff works good as well.  Sloppy Jalopy has some Thornycroft J trucks as well if you ned some heavy duty stuff.

I own a Sloppy Jaloppy thornycroft, and it's been a pain to build it!

I own a Sloppy Jaloppy Ford A lorry and haven´t got any further than the chassis since I got it in February... 2007.

Fine detail and overall looks, though.

Force of Arms has quite a few very suitable trucks at a reasonable price.
The only thing I'm not to keen on is the fact that the windows are solid resin.
Take a look at GHM for pictures since John doesn't have any on his own website.

So do I and it has.

Got as far as Chris has and no further, need to crack on.

Here's the FOA Soviet GAZ AAA not pictured anywhere else - in 28mm.  I believe these were a licensed copy of the Ford Mod A ? - very 1930s and likely these made their way to China.

@Johnnytodd,

I'd love to know how you did those windows so convincingly. I really like the FOA models- got all of their SCW tanks and ACs'- but stayed away from the truck because of their closed windows. Never was able to paint resin 'windows' so realistic as you show here.
Any chance on a small demo or explanation?

Tx
Willie

Hi,  Thanks for the kind remarks.  I painted, weathered then sealed the matte green finish - then painted the windows with a Humbrol gloss silver adding a fine black outline.
