Ottoman Mounted Gendarmerie
« on: 07 November 2013, 02:30:51 PM »
I have just finished painting up my unit of 10 Ottoman mounted provincial “Jandarma” circ 1916. Just in time for this weekends gaming.  :D

The painting guide was taken from the Chris Flaherty Ottoman Uniforms website.  o_o

This is an invaluable resource for anyone with an interest in Ottoman Turkish 19th and 20th Century Uniforms. This work is really excellent and long may it continue.  :-*

The figures are from the most excellent fellows Michael and Alan Perry. They are actually from the Sudan range but I have amended the headwear.  These are not the first Perry mins to make it into my Ottoman Army >:D

I think maybe some Ottoman Naval types of maybe the famous Firemen Regt next 8)
