Hordes of the things unicorns
« on: 14 November 2013, 04:32:43 AM »
Hey guys. It's good to be back.

I found this nice modells at my local supermarket: horses. 10 for 5€. Made of plastic, but who cares. I had always the idea of using unicorns, but there are no miniatures which fit for me, But those did.

Modelling the horn...

after base coating...

... and painted,

... and for comparison:

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

All PFB is hilarious. =)

Also... nice army, ga... nah.  ;D

Did you consider painting the horns golden, to make them stand out a little more?

Nicely done of course, but I'm surprised nothing within the wargaming mini trade suited your purpose!

Our entire yak herd came from a bin of plastic toys. The clerk at the store was perplexed as to why 2 adults were so excited and  having her comb through the boxes in the back.

Lovely work! Those models have lots of life and motion; I can see why you liked them.

For some reason or other I had thought of Unicorns as solitary creatures...one of the reasons for their extinction.
At any rate, the Herd looks WONDERFUL...some SPLENDID modeling, painting, & basing are involved here. Thinking outside of the box as far as models is concerned is a real plus with moi. WELL & IMAGINATIVELY DONE!

Nice one. Reminds of the film 'Legend'. With a very young Tom Cruise.
