Pirate Goblins (Yarr!)

This last week I've been painting up some pirate goblins for some games of Strange Grogge and Cutlass!

They are mostly ones from the recent Kickstarter that were sculpted by Kev Adams. There is also a Reaper miniature and a foundry orcling. I've got a couple more to do (a freebooter chap and a GoblinAid piece) but I thought I'd show where I've got to.

(sorry they are a bit gloomy - my flat isn't very bright at the best of times)

  Brilliant. Fantastically characterful, great paint job. I wish I'd bought a set of these Kev Adams pirates.

Lovely paint jobs. There are a few good ones in the Goblinaid miniatures that you want to look at. The guy that did these had plans for dwarves but looks like he has dropped off the map.

I got those Pirate Gobbos through the Indiegogo project and they are still sitting in a plastic bag haven't touched them since I got them....[Was a real bad project... great minis badly run]

and I most likely won't touch them....

I do love your work on yours. They are very nice and the extras work well with the main group... all blending to make an awesome Pirate gang.

What is Strange Grogge and Cutlass! like as a game? is it easy to learn? play?

Strange Grogge is very easy to learn and really good fun to play - we've done a few Napoleonic peninsular skirmishes with the rules as well and they work fantastically for that too. Lots of clever little nuances that we didn't pick up until we had figs on the table.

I've not played Cutlass! yet - the reaction system looks very clever but might take a bit of playing to get used to. I'm planning on inflicting it on one of my gaming buddies in the near future. Beasts of War have quite a few vids on it.

The little guy with the two pistols is a foundry orcling from the oop Ogre Desperados pack and the other two are from Reaper.

 These look great.A real shame lots of people are still waiting for their sets to arrive.Would have been great to see the range expanded.

I was one of the lucky 10%+ of that fundraising project who never received their package and got scammed by Bruno.  Even better is that the project page is no longer accessible on Indiegogo, so we can't even post our complaints there.

Yours look nice very though.  I found someone disenchanted enough with theirs to sell them to me, so at least I have a set to paint in the future, even if I paid for them twice.

Lovely miniatures. Very entertaining poses and the pzint job really brings them to life. I am sure the Goblinaid pirate will fit in nicely with them.
