In Clouds of Glory - (almost) complete starter packs
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:23:29 AM »
Hi all

During the different Wargame shows where we have presented and demoed the game recently, we have had a lot of very positive interest, but we have also experienced that the entry work needed to get started in this game makes some people a bit reluctant. And afterwards we have assembled and posted a couple of starter kits from surplus materials and planes we had lying about. We would love to help people to get started with the game and have decided to make this a bit more formalised and effective.

We therefore consider making a small amount (say 10) of starter kits containing the most basic materials to get started with the game:

- The new starter plane pack containing a mix of 7 planes (1 RE8, 3 SE5a, 2 Alb D.Va and a Dr.I). See pic below.
- complete cockpit panels for the above planes.
- 7 carbon flight stands and nose mounts for the planes.
- Pre-printed adhesive film for turn templates.

We will make these sets if there is a an interest in the sets. We do not intent to make any money on them, but want to sell them at the cost price+postage. A quick calculation brings this in at around 42€ per set plus postage which will be around 8€ for Europe (we will happily send to the rest of the world)

This means that in order to get started with playing the game you will have to paint the planes, print and read the rules, mount the film onto a sheet of clear polyester (for example from an IKEA picture frame or hobby shop)and cut out the templates with a scissor, buy couple of foam boards as gameboards.

If you think that this is a good idea and are interested in such a set: Do let us know via a PM on this site or a mail to:  contact(dot)icog(funny a)gmail(dot)com

Also comments on the idea is very welcome here...!

Best Svend
