Various Cast from "The Missing Professor".  Sadly Madame La Senza missed the photo shoot.

Very nice work, they have a real Pulp feel to them. Who makes Frisky LaFramboise who I believe is the one with the cap and leather jacket in photo ALR8145 on the right?

Love the cars too!  :-*

Hi

Frisky (cap and leather jacket) is from Bob Murch's "Heroes and Personalities" line, PHP19.  The cultists are also from Bob Murch.  His figures are all excellent.

For "Pulp" I also recommend Artizan, Copplestone and Blue Moon (Gangsters and Hillbillies).  I've never painted "Dixon" for this genre but I bet they are good too.

I recall reading some general advice from the League of Augsburg site on painting 28mm figures.  You have a choice whether to have the figure look good at close range or have the figure look good at gaming distance.  It is very difficult to achieve both.  For close range you want lots of blending of tones and a gradual transition between shades and tones.  For gaming distance the site suggests greater exaggeration between tones and shades (more "impressionist").

I've seldom been able to get eyes and faces looking "real" so have opted for the more exaggerated look, thus when viewed from close range you can see 'blotchy' painting.

I admire the painting we see on this forum and others where the blending and faces are excellent.

I'd love to hear your comments on the League's approach.  :)

I can attest to the fact that these minis look awesome on the table, the cultists were my favourites. Great job on all the pulp minis Go player.

Cheers,

Any chance you could share the profiles or rosters for these leagues?

It's always fun to see what abilities and skills different players pick for their characters.

THANKS
