Presenting Dirk Drake!
« on: 09 December 2013, 08:21:40 PM »
Hi Folks,
Many of you will probably have been following some of Black Smoke's battle reports detailing the adventures of Dirk Drake and his Daredevils.  I thought I'd post this pictire of the man himself.  It shows (from left to right) Drake in City clothes, Tropical clothes, and Arctic clothes.  City Drake is a converted Hasslefree "Ray" zombie hunter with the rifle hand  from Dixon and the revolver hand from a Foundry figure (I think). Tropical Drake is a Westwind Vampire Wars figure with a head swap and Arctic Drake is a Copplestone figure from the Jolly Good Chaps set, again with a head swap.  The head on all three figures is from the Redoubt ACW bare heads range.

I have more photos of the rest of the Daredevils and their enemy the sinister Executive, if anyone wants to see them.
All the best,
George.

Hi,
Here's Stamper, top agent of the sinister Executive and Dirk Drake's nemesis:

The figure on the left is Stamper in his street clothes.  It's a Dixon Gangster figure with a Hasslefree head.  The Hasslefree separate heads are bald so I added the hair with green stuff.  The centre figure is stamper in tropical gear an is a Brigade Games WW1 East African German Naval Officer, again with a Hasslefree head.  The right hand figure is stamper in Arctic gear and is a Westwind Vampire Wars explorer again with a Hasslefree head.
I'm very fond of Stamper as he's my main Pulp Alley alter ego.  Playing the bad guy is great fun even if he doesn't come out of some of the adventures too well.  after his encounter with the Mkubwa Shetani he'll never eat bananas again!
All the best,
George.

Here is Dirk and the Daredevils in their City clothes:

Left to right:  Dirk, Lavinia Love, Professor Love, Billy Preist, Ed Mallon, and Chomper.
Lavinia is an unconverted Thrilling tales Miss Greentree, Prof Love is a Copplestone KKBB figure with a redoubt ACW head, Billy Priest is an unconverted Pulp Miniatures figure as are Ed Mallon and Chomper.

Here are the Daredevils in tropical clothes:

Dirk I've commented on earlier, Lavina is an unconverted RAFM Call of Cthulu dilletante, Prof Love is a Copplestone archeologist with a Redoubt ACW head and I use the same figures for Billy and Ed from the City clothes set.  Chomper of course dosen't need clothes!

What? No doggie coat for Chomper? Haha.

Look great - I love them! You have much more energy than I do, painting up 3 versions of each fig...!

Hi Mike,
Chomper doesn't have a doggie coat because he'd probably eat it!   I'm glad you and Dave like the figures.  Not all of them are conversions so they didn't take as long to do as you might think and they are a few years old, painted for a Pulp project I put on hold because I didn't know what rules to use and didn't have access to good terrain.
Both if those problems were solved this year thanks to the excellent terrain of the Glasgow G3 club and the publication of Pulp Alley.
If you want folks, I can also take and post some pictures of Drake and Stamper in their cars.
All the best,
George.
