Figure in generic coveralls?
« on: 10 December 2013, 07:59:34 AM »
Time for yet another "Fram decides he wants an oddball mini no one makes" thread.

I need a figure to use as a 28mm soviet aircraft mechanic. Here's a picture of the intended result (minus the gas can):

I can probably sculpt the pilotka cap tools, etc. and I don't need the gas can or anything. I just need a figure in some generic dumpy, bulky coveralls (very preferably with a collar showing beneath as in this picture). I've looked through most of the WWII manufacturers (Bolt Action, Artizan, West Wind, TAG, Crusader, Black Tree, Victory Force... can't look at Renegade as they're closed at the moment). I've also looked at some "60's henchmen" type figures, such as those made by Crooked Dice, but I haven't found anything via that avenue yet either.

Maybe there's something in a modern line somewhere? Preferably not one in a pack of five, six or ten figures (a recurring problem I have run into trying to source single figures, lol).

I promise that I will stop begging for help and actually post some painted miniatures! Once I can actually assemble all the figures for at least one of the half-dozen Pulp Alley leagues I'm trying to make...

Thanks folks!  :)

CP models have a couple of my old sculpts. Not sure if they're any good for you? Akula might have some too if I remember... ???

I did manage to find something (in fact it turned out I had already ordered a perfect figure, I just hadn't realized it as it was the 'B' figure in a two man pack I had ordered to get figure 'A'!), but those are really nice.

I've found the Westwind German Vehicle crew pack has some useful poses in generic coveralls:
