WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is an amazing conversion! Absolutely brilliant!
I would never have thought of using "Robogear" for VSF. I've over-looked a huge resource for conversions!
I tip my hat to you Sir!!!!!!!
I do feel a bit sorry for the the guy fuelling the boiler. My stolen battle-suit hasn't got any "guns" but has super heated steam nozzles in the centre of its claws. The driver will be OK in an enclosed cab but the one on the back .....................OUCH!
Thanks for posting Rudi, that's made my day!

You're most welcome, PM! (and thx to all the others for their very kind comments!). About your battle-suit: it didn't carry any guns when it was stolen, but you know: you can't trust the "Mad Hatter"!
I purposely converted a black Foundry DA figure to operate the boiler and to shovel coal, not stick a nationality on the model (the figure being rather "neutral" in its appearance).
Since my models are made to game rather than display, I fitted a "metal" plate on top of the wooden deck behind the boiler (to protect it from sparks). This plate is made of magnetic strip (drybrused with gun metal) and the negro figure is also glued to a magnetic strip of the same size (I've taken care that the poles attracted each other before glueing the figure to its base). This way, the figure stays put when the model is moved in battle, but can be removed easily when enough steam is available or the figure becomes a casualty.
