Pulp Terrain: Giant Skull or Giant Face?
« on: 15 December 2013, 12:51:33 AM »
Hi All,

I knocked out a quick sculpt of a skull tonight, using regular old white Sculpey.  It measures 35mm from chin to crown.  My intent was to cover it with Super-Sculpey and make a fully fleshed face, which could then be used to make terrain pieces, like idols and such, for future Pulp Alley games.

I really like how the skull turned out however, and I'm actually reluctant to cover it in flesh.  What do you all think: giant skull or giant head?

A skull is a skull, a face becomes very real-world region/gender specific.

Skull...think of the things you can do with it for Pulp....

Here's what I did with an Iron Wind Metals one:

That skull cave is awesome Mike.

I've decided to make a rubber mold so I can cast copies of the skull in water putty and still do the face using the original polymer clay master.

My Alumilite HS3 is a year old, but I've had success with such old silicone before... we'll see.
