Amazing!  What's your skin recipe?  I believe you're the master of striped pants!!

I used a base coat of VMC Tan Earth mixed with a little VGC Beasty Brown. Then the first layer of highlight was just pure Tan Earth followed by mixing in increasing amounts of VGC Bonewhite. I added a little white for some of the lightest highlights. Once it was dry I gave it a very thin glaze of old GW Ogryn Flesh.

Whilst a steady hand helps for painting stripes I usually pencil them in first so I've at least got a guide. It's also handy doing that as you can check you've got the right number of stripes so the colours alternate properly. Otherwise you can end up coming to paint that last stripe and it's either got to be super thin to fit in or you have to leave an extra wide stripe.

Thanks for the comments everyone, always appreciated.  :D

Fantastic, thanks for the recipe.  I'll be trying it out soon.  I never even concidered drawing the stripes in pencil first, thanks for the tip.

A quick update and still WIP seeing as I didn't finish it off the other day as intended (which I'm pretty pissed at myself for!). Anyway, not much left to do now, just the outer side of the cloak and a few base details. Then I can start work on Gotrek.

Absolutely awesome. Such a shame they made these 40mm instead of 28mm, or even 54mm. Such an odd choice from the evil empire.

The red had a base coat of VMC Cavalry  Brown and I highlighted that with VGC Bloody Red. I added a bit of VMC Iraqui Sand for the sharper highlights on the tight creases. I used a little dilute VMC Burnt Cad. Red to shade between the creases too. I tried to keep it quite simple so as to not over highlight it and keep the red bright.
