Nuka Cola vending machine
« on: 26 December 2013, 09:41:44 AM »
Rivetzone model that I finaly gave a lick of paint. Brother Vinni BoS paladin for scale.
I did paint the top of the monitor screen green(ish), but somehow that got lost in the photo.

Sure. It's a resin kit from Rivetzone.

Great, it is a rather nice terrain piece. On personal taste though I would dirty that thing up a bit more though. ^^'

NMC's texture pack on the Fallout Nexus is a great resource for textures (compared to the low res ones in the original game).

Oo, goodie.  ;D
I did a google image search and I certainly didn't come across that one.
Guess it's time to bring out the trusty Modelmates Rust Effect.  :D

Quick question : difficult to notice but the model has 3 hinges on the left side of the door. I intended to paint these in grey/metal color, but I'm still in doubt if they should be red and white as if they too received an enamel coating like the rest of the model ?

Ah yeah, in the first picture right? Are they a moving part? If the hinges have been used then over time the paint would have worn away on them. I tend to stick a bit of wear around the joins between the various pieces of an item. With those I'd paint them up to be a worn grey due to the door chafing against them from the lack of maintenance (got to keep those oiled) and repeated wasterlanders opening the machine up to loot it.

Search either the Fallout 3 Nexus or Fallout: New Vegas Nexus for "Texture" or the like. I played both those games to death, so I'm a repertoire of modding knowledge. << No life. ^^'

Good thinking. I'll follow that path.

You're not the only one. Recently replayed FO3, but this time I'm going to play all DLC too. Already finished Mothership Zeta. However, I nedd my daily fix of World of Tanks these days, so Fallout got moved back in the queue  ::)
