Hi Glenn
Is there anything in particular that you are after. I have Mahdists, Egyptians and a few Brits. Would do me good to practice with the camera.
John
Well, I was thinking of adapting the Brits for "VSF larger battles Spanish" versus Venusians, (and almost certainly eventually, despite my best efforts, Martians,) and wondered if the figures:
1) Look good consistently. Some lines by some manufacturers have shown me significant variation in quality of appearance over the years so yes, I am a bit paranoid - professional residue from occupations held over the years.
2) Have equipment that will need "deleting" or "modifying" with X-acto knife ansd or Green Stuff to look less specific so I can claim them as "Spanish Aether Marines" with a minimum of believability from the Grognards out there.
3) Won't look horribly out of place temporally (I set my VSF actions between around the defeat of the American Navy by Spanish Submersibles and Aeronefs in the 1898 Spanish-American War era resulting in America staying the course of the Monroe Doctrine and Spain rising on the international stage as a potential Major Player in world affairs.) Since I doubt rifles are too noticeably specific in 15 mm sized figures I am
not too worried about that but until I see pictures I can't refute the concern about support weapons and other gear. I know I will need to add {see above} gas masks (Mars) and/or breathing apparatus (Venus) on the figures post purchase.
So, Brits (Sudan and Zulu wars) then perhaps Egyptians (as Venusian Askaris) would be my most wanted pictures.
I have reduced my ranting about pictures on manufacturers web site as I have grown older but it still happens at times...
Gracias,
Glenn
