Battletech alpha strike solo rules : question
« on: January 02, 2014, 02:54:30 PM »
Hi,

I discovered this webblog article :

http://recon-by-fire.blogspot.fr/2013/11/solo-battletech-more.html

Speaking of a very interesting rough solo system for Battletech. To Alpha Strike owners, do you think it could be used for AS ruleset also ?

Any thoughts from Battletech players on this solo mechanics ? I contacted the author about it. I think it's very interesting, and a really good start.

Thanks for your help.

I don't see why it wouldn't work with AS, both systems are closely related, the major difference being the level of abstraction but many concepts are shared. Of course, AS is much more deadly and often even big fights are decided in a couple of turns, so that has to be kept in mind. I like the fog of war simulation via blips with an unknown number of enemies, if at all.
