We've now seen the first photo of Peter Capaldi in costume. In many ways a traditional Doctor costume complete with frockcoat.

The photo I'm referring too is the one on the official BBC site [standing next to Clara and pointing] and that looks like a new outfit... very smart coat and waistcoat with watch chain.

That was the same outfit Matt Smith wore for much of his last episode, so probably not the go forward costume. I think it looks a little different due to lighting in the candid shot that they released. My guess is the costume is from an early scene before the new Doctor pics his new clothes… Clara is wearing the same outfit she wore in the Christmas special, too.

Yeah, i know the photo you're referring to.  Matt Smith was wearing the same outfit since the ponds left.  Purple tweed frock coat, waistcoat, shirt, watch chain.  The same clothes he regenerated in - remember matt smiths first episode he spent most of it in Tennant's suit?

It can't be long to wait till we see 12's actual outfit.  It's exciting!

You could be right, in which case my topic is pointless!  I think what might be throwing me is the cuffs of the shirt, and I was convinced he had a pale coloured tie, rather than NO tie. And I still don't associate the waistcoat and chain with Matt Smith, though on looking at some stills he was indeed wearing them. Hey ho.

Technically, they don't make Doctor Who Figurines. You haven't any related of Doctor Who in the site (And I know a site who makes Professor What minis )

neither of them should do a Dr Who because neither of them have any legal right to do so. Still cant see that happening so its just two more companies I have banned permanently.
