Hi from Switzerland
« on: 18 January 2014, 10:04:53 AM »
Hi,

I've already posted a couple of times at LAF, but I've now decided to post in the introduction forum because I would be interested in meeting new players. I am based at Basel, but could travel to Zurich, Berne, Freiburg or wherever I can get easily by train.
I have been playing GW stuff in my youth and have come back to Wargaming a year ago. I play Flashing Steel, SAGA, the Wars of the Roses variant of Sharp Practice and X-Wing, but I am very open to other periods and rules. My only restrictions are the small amount of figures I have and time.
My gaming style is very relaxed, preferring the narrative over winning. For some impressions on what I do, please visit my blog: http://wargamingraft.wordpress.com
I'll be looking forward to meeting fellow Lead Adventurers!

Cheers,
Shandy

Hello,

I live near Lenzburg which is about 45 minutes away from you by car or by train.
I paint 28mm and have a vast collection of medievals, fantasy, WW2 and modern.
I prefer simple games such as GW LOTR, Force on Force, Rapid Fire, Heroquest but I have also played WAB.
I see that you like WOTR and I have a huge collection of Perry WOTR Medievals.

WELCOME ABOARD! Have a FUN stay!

My friend Tom is living/working in Zurich. He's the founder & guiding light of Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum:

If you were to open an account, in addition to entering a very cool forum, you could PM him.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Thanks for the hint! The forum looks like fun, although I don't play Mordheim and I don't think I'm gonna start to… it would be like being the last one to come to a party :-)

Welcome to LAF shandy.

May you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!
