« on: January 18, 2014, 10:24:00 PM »
Has anyone tried to use these http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/media/managed/products/121-large.jpg with 28mm figures and if so could I see a pic to get a scale comparison

If they were scaled to a modern African Bush Elephant, might they be close in size (if not shape) to an African Forest Elephant in 28mm o_o

Complicated.

Does this help?

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

I was kinda thinking that also. I was really hoping someone on here may have one that I could see next to a 28mm figure to see what it will look like I might have to just get one and hope for the best

There is a review on the Plastic Soldier Review site. Zvezda 1/72 can be bigger than other manufacturers but I would be surprised if these are anywhere near tall enough to match 28mm.

20 mm with 28 mm - definately a 'no-match' verdict from me.

You can always judge for yourself though :

28mm is a Black Cat Bases barmaid

That looks roughly what a Forest Elephant would be, size-wise. Straight-ish tusks would add to the impression. If you could find riders, and are willing to re-work the stuff on the animals' backs, I'd say it was worth  a punt.

Seconded re:forest elephant size for 28mm. They're not much bigger than a rhino.
