U.S. Secret Service, Foriegn Missions Office
« on: January 26, 2014, 07:22:43 PM »
Just finished painting my first company for IHMN.  A couple of the figs were already done and were used for LotOW. The rest were painted in the last week.
Appearance-wise, the steam-tech is subtle.  Not a lot of gadgets.  The Wolfkin has a mechanical arm and two of the agents are wearing goggles.  The Fighting specialist has a Clockwork Hound.

Special Agent Totem and Leading Agent "The Ghost" spend some time between adventures winding up Brutus, the Clockwork Hound.

Special Agent Sullivan prepares to "bare steel".

Special Agent Totem and "Betsy", a massive (4-handed) shotgun.

Field Agent Green and Special Agent Markham.  Field Agents are supplied with standard firearms while Special Agents and Leading Agents are provided with the Smith&Reagan .50 calibre revolver (pistol with a 12" range and improved Pluck and SV modifiers).  Bigger boom from America, "Land of the Gun".

The company lacks long range firepower but has decent intermediate/short range firepower because of the special issue pistols.
If any Mystical Powers are taken, I will probably limit them to Totem and "The Ghost".

Another idea I had was to add a couple of fodder figures (cheap cost) to increase the company size and run interference or draw fire.  These figures would be:

*The President of the United States - A stately looking character in period dress.  Most likely it would be a presidential double accompanying the group ("Damn, we lost ANOTHER President!")
*Uncle Sam - Reaper puts out this mini.  Very aggressive pose, but I would still use it as a chaff figure.

Next project is a villain group lead by a Chinese Warlord/Scientist/Mystic (like Dr. Doom).

a villain group lead by a dwarf doctor scientist nammed dr Miguelito Loveless will be a perfect opponent for the US secret service guys ...  ;)
Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

If anyone knows of any late 19th century figs that have imperial American icons, symbols, etc., could you let me know?  That was why I wanted the Uncle Sam figure; identifiable Americana.

A mighty fine company, where did you find the Clockwork Hound or is it a custom job?

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people ... I'm just saying lets remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out ...

The clockwork hound is from D&D mini's.  It's called "Iron Defender", but I'm not sure of what set.

Here are the figs I've chosen for a villainous company;

Warlord Kang and his monstrous henchmen.

Evil subordinates.

Chinese warlord troops for added firepower and fodder-ness.

The group would be weak on firepower.  I wanted to focus on mystical powers, martial arts and Fighting Value.

I'll post photos as I paint.
