Got my ERM Alien Queen and here it is. It's a reasonable to good model but it does look too skinny from a couple of angles I think.

Maybe a young queen? Mine is still in bits in the box. I have unfortunately I have gone all mainstream and gone with the Prodos ones. It was taking a long time to carve up GW hormogaunts and genestealers, though that was my preferred option.

That ERM Queen is a classic old Tony Yates sculpt. Love it.

Can I expect to see those on the market place then?  ;)

I'm definitely keeping the ERM ones but I'm undecided on the GW plastics. I had this notion that I'd get the Prodos ones painted up so I could game but I'd chip away at the plastics and have them as a rival subspecies, sort of like black ants vs red ants.

There was an Aliens comic about rival hives of Aliens from Dark Horse many moons ago, so different colors/species of Aliens isn't unheard of.

Of course Phil.  :)

I'm fairly sure I've got that in the attic. I have a load of Aliens and Predator comic books but I forget exactly what i have. That's probably where I got the idea from!

Does anybody remember a D&D fig that had a bit of the facehugger about it? With a parrot-beak in the 'palm'? Or, am I thinking of the Necro ripper?

I just can't shake thinking it began with a K.

One of these is the old RAFM metal, I think. The other two are newer plastic.

Yet another BD I've yet to watch.  ::)

I'd forgotten about the 'suckers' on the tentacles, but they are a bit less obvious if you paint them up without accentuating with drybrushing. That beak might be a deal breaker.
