Interwar figures in Workwear
« on: 29 January 2014, 08:22:20 AM »
Interwar figures in worker's clothing. Casting the net a bit wider than the worker's militia figures produced by Musketeer, which other manufacturers do armed figures in workwear (can be an conflict - VBCW, SCW, Russian Revolution, etc)? Also, how do the various ranges scale in with Artizan or Musketeer?

Obvious overalls (e.g. bib and brace) would be preferable, although donkey jackets or similar would be ok. I'm trying to avoid boiler suits, which rules out many SCW figures.

My only stipulation is that their trousers must not be gathered into gaiters/puttees.

Som of the Empress SCW range might cover what you need? If you look at the Assaltos and Militia packs for example.
Scale would be compatible with Artizan and Musketeer.

I'll agree with Keith here, some of the Empress Militia will fit nicely with what you're looking for... although as they are in packs, you might consider the ones you feel you can't use uneconomical.

While I have no qualms about mixing Artizan figures with Empress and Musketeer, 'some' (i.e. anyone who insists that every figure be exactly the same height and build) might consider the Artizan figures to be incompatible. The difference is a millimetre or two at best and for me they give the typical mix range of heights you would find if you put several people of around 'average height' in a group. In other words there is a visible difference, but not as noticeable as when other ranges are put together.

If I had a camera, I'd show you what I mean... hopefully someone else will provide a pic.     :)

Here's some which might be suitable, although the uniform code might not be exactly what you seek;

These are sculpted by Paul "Interwar" Hicks.

The Westwind ones aren't very nice figures:

Chiltern do some too but they're quite chunky so don't fit in so well.
