IHMN, HVF, Mexican rebels.
High number of figures company:
64 points - El Toro
26 points - "vanilla straight out of the carton" Young Don (subtotal 90)
30 points - Roman Catholic Priest (with either Fanatic or Iron Will) (subtotal 120)
28 points - "vanilla straight out of the carton" Rancher x 2 (subtotal 148)
98 points - Peons (machete unless specified below) as follows:
Fanatics x 8 = 48 points (8 x 6) which allows 4 "flavored" Peons
Fanatic with shotgun = 16
Fanatic with pistol = 14 points
"vanilla straight out of the carton" with pistol = 9 points
"vanilla straight out of the carton" with shotgun = 11 points
subtotal for Peons = 98 according to calculator - no spreadsheet on this old laptop
This reflects two "vanilla straight out of the carton" plus fanatic peons for each Fanatics with pistol or shotgun...
Total 246 points.
Alternatively,
64 points El Toro
35 points - Isabella (subtotal 99 points)
98 points of peons as above (subtotal 197 points)
30 points Priest Fearless (sub total 227)
12 points (Farmer 12, carbine substituted for shotgun) (subtotal 239 points )
11 points (additional Peon Fanatic)
Total 250 points.
Thirdly,
26 points Young Don #1
26 points Young Don #2 (no more than two leadership talents in a Company) Subtotal (52)
35 points Roman Catholic Priest (Fearless) (subtotal 87)
35 points Roman Catholic Priest (inspirational) (subtotal 122)
124 points Rancher (14) with Cavalry Horse (9,) Cavalryman Talent (3,) Marksman (5) (31 points each) x 4
Total 246 points
There can not be fanatic peons without El Toro or Isabella, right? But they can be equipped with shotguns or pistols on a 1 out of 3 basis, with Young Dons as leaders, correct?
Fourthly:
35 points Isabella
26 points Young Don (second leader) subtotal 61
23 points Catholic Priest (Fearless) subtotal 96
12 points "vanilla straight out of the carton" Farmer subtotal 108
14 points "vanilla straight out of the carton" Rancher subtotal 122
51 points of Mercenary with Hunter, Hunting Rifle, Marksman, Gunslinger and 2nd pistol subtotal 173
66 points of "vanilla straight out of the carton" peons (11) subtotal 239
11 points for a peon with a shotgun
Total 250 points
Finally, just to be super nerdy,
64 points El Toro
35 points Isabella (subtotal 99 Points)
30 points Priest Fanatic (subtotal 129)
35 points Priest Fearless (subtotal 164)
35 points Priest Inspirational (subtotal 199)
30 points Priest Iron Will (subtotal 229 points)
19 points Rancher (Marksman)
Total 248 points.
Other than the extra cheese final taco, do I have the mechanics down right?
I suspect my core Company wold be a Young Don, a Catholic Priest, some farmers, more peons, and a few Ranchers, possibly a mercenary. El Toro or Isabella would be slotted to replace a large number of figures (both would require no Young Don.)
I have (been tempted) considered the Magnificent Seven Company but 7 x 26 points
without any specialized figures (and what is the fun in that?) is 182 points and even with only a single Young Don (26) for leadership (subtotal 208) that leaves only 42 points for "others" and
that is extra spicy, extra cheese Enchilada flavored...
Gracias,
Glenn
