TYW Army 28mm (3) - New Regiment and Swedish Brigade Simulation
« on: February 02, 2014, 07:25:59 PM »
Hello,
today I want to introduce my third 28mm TYW Swedish regiment and a Swedish-Brigade simulation.
As part of my 28mm TYW Army Project.

part I -   http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=58871.0

The figures are mainly Old Glory Miniatures, less Foundry, TAG and Warlord Miniatures.

Thank you for watching!

Regards
Achim

Really wonderful looking figures.
Just outstanding.
Big units, what rules are you going to play with?

Hello,
I will use “Age of Reason” with some modifications.
I want easy and fast rules.
Because I´m in the Swedish period of the war, I want stubborn and steady units, not easy to break –and with a (almost) wise deployment units in accordance with Age of Reason-Rules are not easy to break.
The units should be sluggish to maneuver – which is easy to simulate.

The problems about TYW games I see:
1. Inf. Regiments with two different troop types (armored and not armored) within
- Who receives hits – pike or shot, if both are in front?
- Saving rolls for armored units!?

2.Caracole fire from Cav. Units
– can it cause “real” casualties or cause it a moral effect to disorder troops with an effect to a charge test (for the Cavalry) or an impact – I think I will prefer the moral effect.

Regards
Achim

Umwerfend, klasse, wunderschön!

Sorry for falling back into German.

These are real eye candy.

Are they travelling to any happening in Germany so that they can be seen "in person".

These really look the part!  and even with a relatively small number of figures (compared to actual formations) the way that you have based them in very close order gives the feel of "mass" that is not always apparent with model pike blocks.

Cheers,
