Sculpting 28mm dungeon accessories (Updated 5.3.14)

I was eyeing to buy some dungeon accessories lately, but then I got an even better idea: I'll make them myself. These are made with Fimo and are suitable for 28mm figures. I have been playing with fimo before, but it occurred to me only now that I could do 28mm stuff with it. When making figures, I tend to slip out of scale and they end up too large. Hats off to all the sculpters out there, the work really requires a lot of skill. I fell in love with sculpting and I'm very keen on learning, so all comments and critique are highly appreciated, as well as sculpting ideas.

I made this bed first for an inn:


Treasure chest without a lid:

Adventuring in dungeons can be tiring, here is the first sleepy hero - the Dwarf:

Very nice! I'm inspired to get some FIMO myself and try it - the cave slug especially suggests all sorts of uses.

Thanks for the comments! I had some time to paint some of them during the weekend:









Painting them taught me some things about sculpting as well. The sculpting on some was not deep enough, and on others I had just fumbled in hurry and the painting really brings the mistakes visible. I find it a lot easier to paint good sculpts made by professionals then my own sculpts . However, as dungeon scenery, they make their job and I'm quite happy how they turned out.

I finished the double door today, a Reaper Bones figure for scale. I'll probably give resin casting a try with this at some point:
