Yes I just put in an order; they are good value at 50p a bod, and with spare heads, too...

The victim is a mantic goul with a Vitrix scabbard .

the berserk has his head turned in the other way.

The pilum is going through the goul's throat and goes out from his eye which give the 3 parts of the weapon :

One in the base of the hand of the slave, the middle part in the throat and the pointed out from the head.

Simple but efficient !

by now , there it is the finsihed version of the slaves ex berserkers :

and our new friend ex Gothrum , nearly at the end of the painting process....

This project is at the moment on the slow motion because i was very busy with the game day of my club last week-end.
I have played there several games from Ganesha and i 'm very happy about the result and the lot of fun to make them played by club members at the convention (One game with picts with the Arthur and merlin set of rules, one game of horror and one with pirates.).

here the picts, preparing a raid and waiting a druid blessing for the operation....

now i'm back to the roman business  ;D

i found some old references of pictish warriors from Gripping Beast (no more available) that will become roman legionaries in clock for sentry duty.

pics soon
 ;)

yes Picts as legionaries is possible  ;D

the proof right here, my friends :

At the paint workshop !

Ruy, the sandals on the right one are not in green but only engrave on the bare feet of the pict. Sorry but i was in a hurry at this time.... :'( so i take the most easy way to complete my conversion.

As say herr doctor Re-animator ; " Commonly, the best conversion is generaly the simple one  "

Nice work on those Eric and lovely ideas. :-*
Perhaps a head swap on 1 or 2 and place a legionaire head with helmet. ;D
Nevertheless they are great.
There goes some picts... lol

Many thanks Eric but i have to decline your offer my friend.
I´m trying to sell an army of picts and i will keep some for mad conversions so i still have a lot of them from Foundry, Gripping Beast and Black Tree.
But i might "steal" your idea if you dont mind.
I did like the look on those and i really think its a great idea.

Cheers

hello boys,

A new addition to our gang of Rome world....The roman litter (small one) !

2 slaves (ex Redoubt slingers) and a Warlord bed converted into litter in the most simple way.
The roman lady will follow.
the 4 bearers version will follow..........a day, could be  :?

Next to them, a old reference of Gripping Beast Pict, converted (only by paintjob) into roman (or jewish) ganger.

thank guys,

My next litter will be a 2 seated one (i hope) and possibly with a canopy (and curtain ?). I have to find two people lying abed and take my courage to start the creation.

but it's not for tomorrow because i have start some Late Roman troops (to use like Arthurian) for playing games with the ganesha rules set : "Song of Arthur and Merlin".

like this one (based on a GB Saxon noble) turned into Sub-Roman british victim !     ;)

but this is an another story  :D
