20mm Prison bus

I took some pics while converting these school buses into Prison buses.
The first is the original school bus on the left and a bus after the primer coat applied.

These are easy to un assemble as a machined screw is all that holds them together. This makes everything easy.
Not pictured here are 3 glass pcs.

Great work. I really like your project idea. Now I have a few questions for you....

1) Where do you get the buses? How much? can they be used for 28mm sized figures?

2) Where did you get the "wire" screening for the windows? Is it tall enough to use as chain link fencing? I am looking for that type of meshing to make some chain link fences.

You can find suitable buses for 28mm minis on ebay. There is even one that is already painted up as a police bus. Do a search for 1/50 school buses. They usually are about 7.5 inches long.

The buses are toy die cast metal and I got them at Jewel Osco for $6.00 each, can you believe it?
They are made in China and are real close to 20 mm so they would be to small for 28 mm.
Take FATROC's suggestion and look on e-bay.

The wire mesh is easy. Go to Lowes or a hardware store and look for a roll of fiberglass screen window for $6.00. It comes in a roll about 3 feet wide plenty to do anything you can imagine a use for. I was planning on trying it to make chain link fence but for 20mm it may be to big, not sure yet. For 28 mm it will probably do just fine.
