Browsing through evilbay looking for bits and bobs for my wild west project I stumbled across something that sent me straight down reminiscence road. One of the first slotta-based Aly Morrison (I think) Hobgoblins, still at a bargain of 99p so I put in a bid for £2.50, thinking I had no chance of winning. But I did, a grand price of £2.45. When it arrived I dug out some old Fenris bases I'd swapped in the Bazzare of Obscurities, based him up and slapped the paint on, this also finally spurred me on to paint up Aenur, the old Mordheim figure which has been lying around my bits box since he first graced the cover of a (then still interesting) White Dwarf.
Unfortunately this has now started a bug for all the old mini's I once owned (sold in my late teens early twenties for beer money), so I'm scouring evilbay and will soon put up some stuff to trade as these guys where just so much fun to paint.

Both pieces painted up SPLENDIDLY...nice choice of colors, brushwork, & cool bases. Since a lot of the older Citadel stuff never made it to my then local hobby store, the Hobgoblin is actually a new mini for moi. That aside, VERY WELL DONE!

I know. But if 14-years ago makes it old school the memories of my youth in the 70s and 80s makes me ancient...
