SOTR Vasily Zaytsev
« on: 23 June 2008, 08:44:38 PM »
A quick couple of pics of "Vasily Zaytsev" which I've done for my Secrets of the Third Reich Soviet Army.
The mini is by Westwind.

The lighting makes the mud on his cloak look very bright ( it isn't in real life...honest!!!)

Although I do quite like him, I wish his rifle was at a slightly different angle. ???

Sorry, meant to say; really nice paint job! 8)

Yes, the pose is a little bit awkward, but apart from that, what a nice bunny! Hop Hop!

Thanks for the comments.
I agree that the pose is a little unnatural ( the rifle would have been better with it resting on his hip or angled down with with him re-loading it).
Still, he was a "Must Have" purchase for my Soviet force!

Great painting! He looks lovely. I'll have to get one to go with the WestWind Nika I painted the other day.
