If it's what I think it is, you should try googling for 'filtro per cappe d'aspirazione' - mostly made of metal grating these days, but you still should be able to find the polyester kind.

yes, it is.

But what is usually available is a thick "hamster bed", very useful to reproduce white smoke on the battlefield.
Whot I'm searching for is the type made of fibers, as in the link I posted.

The original foto you linked to is very tiny, so I based myself upon the description.

Is it more the material in the pictures below you're after ?





Try looking in aquarium/pond shops and the like for those kind of filters. These seem to be use in the 'Koi' community.

Over here they're called 'japanese filter mat' or PPC filtermat 120 x 50 x 3,8 cm cost € 23,50
