Khurasan releases new 15mm grav cars
« on: March 13, 2014, 04:03:18 PM »
We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm sci fi cars, these being three gravs manufactured by KVM -- Kurasa Vectored Mobility.

The KVM vehicles are grav-only and these were painted by the extremely talented Third Fate Creations.  They include many sophisticated tromp l'oeil effects, particularly on the windscreens, but we think the lines of the models are still fairly clear.

The Noriko is a widely used economy grav, very fuel efficient, as this particular vehicle, sporting a humorous leaf colour scheme, indicates!

The Gazelle sports grav is regulated on many worlds because of its incredible speed, and is the grav of choice for law enforcement for that same reason.

The massive Proton grav limo is used as a staff car by the Federal Army, by affluent citizens, and, notoriously, by the warlords of intergalactic criminal organisations, who see it as a status symbol.

The Gazelle shown above has the optional light strip attached to indicate it is a security vehicle -- this is provided for all three gravs and of course may be left off.

Painfully good paint jobs :0. I really like the police car... Rather evocative of a certain SF film, but  still its own design.

 :o

Are they physical paint-jobs? If so I am most impressed. Most mostly.

Oh, nice models too  ;)

MM.

top one I'm sorry to say leaves me cold, love the second one, third one isn't bad either. first one looks like a current days little compact hatchback with the wheels partially covered to make it into a grav car, it just doesn't look right to me.

I think that's the point... A future car that's not a war machine or sport model.  Just a little cheap car to drive to your job at Taco Bell (in the future, all restaurants are Taco Bell).

Nice cars, too.

Although I'd prefer to see some unpainted versions (the paintjobs are brilliant, but rather distracting, so to speak).
And in 28mm scale, of course...

According to Demolition Man, all restaurants are Taco Bell. I love that stupid movie.

That's why I said what I said... because in the european version of the film it's Pizza Hut who won the war.
I didn't know they had changed it (even the logos were changed in post-post-production).

Anyway, sorry for going off-topic, Mr. Khurasan.

This with Darkest Star games cars, and Critical mass sci fi cars, means that folks are just spoilt for choice and variety in the 15mm sci fi market.....

Again.

Lovely stuff, although I too would like to see them in the nude. I'am not doubting your stuff Mr K, but those paint jobs are just so good, I just dunno what I'm seeing underneath!

That's so cool. I didn't know.

Back on topic. I love the cars. I'm just not thrilled with the paint jobs. I'm envious as hell over the skill, but don't think it shows off the models. Now can I get them in 28mm?
