My Zepplin Troopers
« on: 29 June 2008, 09:52:36 PM »
Hello Everyone,

Although this is quite intimidating, I thought I would finally post a picture of a group of Murch's Zepplin Troopers I recently finsihed. I realize they are nowhere near the extraordinary caliber of the work on this site, but a noobie has to start somewhere.  :?

Regards,

Whitewolf

I think they look great and you should feel confident displaying them. They look straight off a pulp magazine cover.

Great painters have just practiced a bit more. There's nothing wrong with these at all, I think they look really good.

Spiff-o-rama!

Nicely done.

Mr. Murch does good work. Your crisp straightforward style is admirable.

If I could only do as well.

Thanks for putting them on the board.

They look very good! I wouldn't have known you were new at this if you hadn't of said anything.

Keep posting more pictures.  :)

I really can't add anything that hasn't already been said upthread - nicely done.

Also very crisply photographed - is the background photoshopped or an actual coloured background of some sort?

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  :)  I hope to get another group of Pulpish figures out in the next month or so (I work VERY slowly and can't devote enough time as I would like to painting).

Wirelizard: The backdrop was purely accidential. All I used was a white cardstock sheet for a backdrop.  I am still trying to get the hang of lighting and taking photos.

Excellent work, Whitewolf! Hard pressed for any criticism, although the gloves and wooden gun stocks look a bit too close in colour tone - a bit more contrast in that part might have been nice. But that´s nit-picking.
