Thanks. The bandits in the photo are mostly Black Scorpion, and an artizan. I have others from Artizan, Brigade games, foundry and will be getting the new ones from Great Escape Games.

For the wall plaster I use ready mixed polyfilla (spackle) wall filler mixed with a bit of PVA to thin it a bit. Once dry I sand it to take most of the heavy texture off and to round out the corners.

I've almost finished it so hopefully will have finished pictures soon (today if all goes well).

Good point, sanding the rougher parts of the texture. Will need to do that to my iglesia. Never tried mixing PVA to spackle as I have just used spackle straight from the tube... with PVA it's more easier to apply in thinner coats or what's the advantage with the mix?

Black Scorpion and Artizan ones mix quite nicely, in my books at least, how about rest of the manufacturers?

I found the PVA made it stick to the foam board better and made it easier to apply. The painted adobe I didn't use PVA and it was a pain to apply. Adding a bit of water may help just as well just to make it less thick.

I think the Brigade mix ok with Artizan and Black Scorpion. I have a comparison shot somewhere I'll try and find. Some don't like the mix as Artizan tend to be a bit chunkier, Black Scorpion taller with bigger weapons and Brigade quite slight with smaller realistically proportioned weapons. It doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks for the pics, I've just bought a few Black Scorpion Mexicans on evilbay and I have a bit of spare foamcore so I might try my hand at making a place for them to hang out.

I look forward to seeing your work. Really easy buildings to make and they can look great (must admit I'm not enamoured with the paint job I've done on this latest one). If I wasn't so lazy the town would be finished by now

Well i didn't get it finished. The sand and PVA are still drying and need to be painted as do the cacti. With my poor phone photography you can't really tell . Also in the last picture we have the next stage which is an optional second floor, which will also have an optional sloped tiled roof for dual use in my pirate games.







Once it's actually finished I'll take a picture in its natural habitat
