I remember going to see it as a child in the 60's with my Dad, and then as a 16 year old boy soldier back in the seventies. It was compulsory viewing because I was a Sapper and Chard is a very celebrated VC for the Royal Engineers.
I love the soundtrack and I noticed a recent ad is using the music to sell TV's here in the UK. I still get tinglies when I hear it.

I believe that it is compulsory viewing for the Royal Regiment of Wales during the anniversary p*** up.

I hope the cinema folks have invited the 'Die hards' to se the scene in the foyer

Have a fantastic time.  I too remember seeing it at the cinema with my Dad.  As a film it's up there in my top two with The Battle of Britain.

There are also lectures from some of the film crew and Dan snow is doing a piece on the history of the Zulu war
