The Revelation of Glaaki...Short Story Text
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:28:24 PM »
This hard to find short story was only available in the original printed text format of one of two of Ramsey Campbell's very old collections of short stories...The Inhabitant of the Lake or Cold Print.

After years of casually searching for this in digital text format...I found it!!!   :D

Below is the text of the short story of Glaaki for those of you who have never read it or want it for your ereader...

Enjoy...The Revelation

I picked up Cold Print a couple of years back. Have to say that Campbell is a bit clumsy and over-descriptive when he's writing Glaaki, but he's got better at leaving aspects to the reader's imagination by the later stories, like the Y'golonac one.

Ahh yes...I do prefer most of the older works of Ramsey Campbell to his newer works.  If any of you Lovecraft/Cthulhu lovers haven't read Titus Crowe, The Burrowers Beneath...you should, you'll love it.  It gives a broader conception of the Mythos.

Here is one more ....   The short story of Y'Golonac mentioned above... "Cold Print".

Never been much of a Campbell fan myself...Although I do like Lumley. The Burrowers Beneath being one of his best. The Titus Crow stuff is a bit out there but starts out quite good...
