Approximately 15mm but perhaps tending towards a small 20 mm.

Very nice pieces for card buildings and scenery.

OK, I need to start googling before posting questions...

I found the answer here:
http://www.usborne.com/catalogue/book/1~H~HCM~4934/make-this-castle.aspx

OO/HO, so useable for 1/72 or 20 mm

Yes, probably better for 15 mm, if you really want to really interact with the scenery.

The problem is, HO and OO are two different scales. I blame Hornby for muddying the water there.

OO is closer to 20mm scale, HO is closer to 15mm.

Hi Argonor,

just have a look on my dmini site (press the world button in my profile).
In one of my galleries- assault on a village - you can see the viking settlement with 20 mm figures.

Thanks, must be this: http://www.displacedminiatures.com/thrifles/gallery/1678/

Seems perfect for 1/72. I'm almost feel tempted to dig out some of my plastics, and maybe start some SAGA warbands...

I have the western camp from the same manufacturer, and it scales exactly with pendraken 10 mm miniatures!

Took some piccies, very hard to get clear as it's kind of glossy paper and such but you get the idea.
Second pic is a cannon as seen in the book next to pendraken cannon, third pic is one of the books models next to a ruler, about 12 mm foot to eye. So might work for 15mm but don't know if it will for 20. If you want, i can dig out some revell 1/72 too take a picture.

Off course, the question being, are all their books made in the same scale ???

Thanks - That's probably why they labelled them OO/HO - and not a precise scale. The larger models. like the fort, may have been shrunk a bit to fit parts on the pages (just like some scale toys are shrunk to fit in the boxes ::) )

I'm pretty sure most of them would work for 1/72 - the model houses we use in 28 mm are also too small when compared to buildings in accurate scale.

15 mm probably would be more accurate, but as buildings are used as cover and obstacles, not as actual dwellings, I think any gamer would let it pass  :)

Yes they will definately work! If it looks good , it doesn't have to be 100% accurate.

They have a big selection too if you do a search on the bay. Especially the medieval town to go with the castle is nice, so is the catedral!

I saw a pic with the Cathedral, Castle, Med. Town, and Med. Village combined to a large square. Almost a full gaming table in itself!  :)
