Eureka! Conquistadors!!
« on: 14 April 2014, 05:32:59 PM »
This was a purchase made at one of the first Historicons I attended.  That was quite a long time ago.  They have served their time on the lead pile.  My first batch of Conquistadors.  I plan to continue for a bit and then on to Aztecs.  Updating on my blog and here will hopefully help me keep up the full head of steam and make headway on the project.

Nice painting!  :-*

Do you know how they compare size and bulk wise with The Assault Group's Early Renaissance Spanish and Italians per chance?

Thanks!!

From what I understand they are a nice fit with Assault Group or Foundry.  Don't own any of the others so I can't confirm that.

Thanks!!

You're welcome  :)

Thanks for that. I think I'll put in a small order as they will make brilliant Sword and buckler men for my Early C16th Spanish pike blocks.... one can never have too much in the way of variation.

Add a crossbowman and it would have a little of everything (except perhaps artillery) that was in most battles.  Well, maybe a half-pike too but I wonder how long those were actively fielded in numbers...

Gracias,
