Thanks chaps  :)

Been reading about the Japanese invasion of Korea this weekend to get a 15mm army sorted, there's plenty of nice scenarios for ship to ship action. Say a large 12' x 12' table at Salute nect year ;).

And just in case you haven't seen these yet to work out your repainting of banners problem:
http://forums.samurai-archives.com/viewtopic.php?t=1638

Ships will play more of a part in next years game and I'm going to be working on 15mm versions for all of these (Korean as well  :D). Got all those piccys stored away  ;)

would you consider makiing korean ships?

Yes  :)

Gotta ask, mate: What colours did you use for that water?

Just a dark green with a bit of a light green towards the edge and then a generous coat of yacht varnish  :)

cheers

James

Aha, I might have solved the 'turtles back' problem although initially it's quite laborious  :)

Funny boy  ;D

I've just about finished basing a sizable Sanada force which I'll post in a few days (needs grass) and then I'll move onto the Miyoshi and then it's game time!  :D

Finished basing the Sanada force, took longer than I thought as a fair few needed patching up after several years of being used at Salute.

The force as a whole

'Big man' level three Sanada Akihito

And his younger brother 'Big man' level two Sanada Yoritomi

Then a small unit of Sanada samurai

Two small teppogumi with one teppo-taisho on the right

And two larger yarigumi each with its own yari-taisho

I'm having another look at the samurai mod I've got and will make a few changes as a few things have popped into my head that will hopefully capture the flavour of samurai warfare a bit more  :)

cheers

They look very nice. Partially the big man. Are they custom crests?

What does tasiho mean btw?

Thanks  :) Some of the crests are custom and some are brass etch available from here JA06

Taisho is generally used as a catch all term for a commander, it can mean general or just group commander. I think it depends on the size of the force as well.
