Anyone every read any Guy Boothbey stories?

I just got done reading "The Professor of Egyptology"  must have been written in the 1890's. Not bad and clearly leading to later authors like Sax Roemer.

Much better than The Portrait of Dorian Grey. Great concept but too slow and too over written.
