And the Valiant Ibyssian Lion Guard
« on: 11 July 2008, 02:50:13 PM »
Another quick snapshot taken on the desk by the computer. I really like these figures and will probably paint up a bunch myself to go with these two that Tom Hoffmann did.

Great paintjob, can't wait to paint up a pair myself, though I know they won't turn out this nice.

I like the fact that you're not going entirely for barbarians and savages in Broadsword Adventures. Many people seem to neglect that swords & sorcery is largely to do with the clash between barbarism and civilization (and various supernatural horrors). You can't have that without some civilized peoples as well.

What are these then, Rich? Obviously something to do with the Broadsword thing, but are these Rattrap figures you'll be selling yourself?

I like 'em. Look very Roman, which is not a bad thing.

They are indeed some of mine.

I like them! Very fantasy-romanesque, without becoming Xena-ish. And thank Zeus/Jupiter for the latter.

Well, I think that Phaecia could have been a bit  more... well endowed. But otherwise I like the range. Nice with some fantasy humans not wielding Gigantic weaponry og looking D&D'ish or historical...
