here is the style of conversion for my thracian king bodyguards, based on a greek look but still with thracian weapons origins :

face and back views, but not based at the moment

Hello all

Thats a good idea for thracians. Well done. :)
The use of captured equipment would be a common feature in ancient warfare.
It still is today.

Cheers

Rui

Hi Prof,

Great paintjobs. Who makes that rather fine pig at the back of some of the shots?

Hello all

Beware all of you... :o
Animals are invading the streets of rome so your gangs will end their days soon... lol

Well done Eric.
Appart from jokes, the idea of the shepperds its very nice indeed. :-*
The gangs would also act on the countryside and a scenario of a villa would be great.

Cheers

I have some sheep with Roman women shepherding them too. I'll have to photograph them. I brought some nice old breeds of sheep from Warbases at Salute, but accidentally legt them with a friend who lives 150 miles away! I might not see them for a few months!

Shucks! Good work on these though matey!

Cheers

thanks my friend !

the scythed is homemade with a metal spear pressed, bent and cut to the wanted shape !

The king is a Foundry Hoplite or Argonaut, i can't remember from my lead mountain... The pelta is a Magister Militum. The cheapest shields on the 28mm market i think.

:P
