Has anyone tried Wild West Chronicles?

Appears based on Operation Squad rules, anyone bought this book? Thoughts?

I could have sworn someone just posted the same question a week or two ago - unfortunately with almost zero responses.  I personally have not seen/played it (nor Operation Squad).  Can someone describe the basic Operation Squad mechanics or scale, etc?

Yes, 'twas me & I never did find out much more about it. I kind of lost interest though when I saw a sample page of the rules that mentioned numerous counters were required for the game. I hate 'counter clutter' on the table so completely lost interest & didn't bother try to find out more.
...and what fresh new hell is this?

I think I may have even asked LONG ago also.....yea,  I know nothing about the mechanics and is a pretty hefty investment in a set of rules I may never use. Same goes for counter clutter, I hate having too many, keep it simple is my thoughts. So far, S&S is the best I have found outside of Legends of the Old West.

I have played Operation Squad WW2 and they're decent. A little odd the first few times you go through, but it makes sense in short order. I'm not sure I'd enjoy them for a western style game though. There are already plenty of good rules out there for that.

You can get it for considerably less investment as a PDF from Ganesha Games:
