In the town where I live there is a HUGE charity store of two floors. Their stock is added to, every thirty minutes or so. The book section is to die for, in fact I don't know how they can manage to fill the shelves constantly, but they do. They sell them dirt cheap as they want to move the stock. Once I came across a set of books that I was familiar with. They cost me $39.00 the lot.  I listed them on EBay and sold them for $300.00. I buy most of my books there, and most, but not all, in the photo are about $5.00 average, and as it goes to charity, it's also kudos into my karma account as well.

To tell the truth, most of my bookshelf space is occupied by rare (and sometimes stupidly-priced) European comics.  

Hum... come to think of it, that's an interesting question: Have I wasted more on miniatures or comic books? Either way, I expect the answer is unhealthy.

Is it a good read?

Absolutely. Probably his strongest book (though I'm a big Eco fan, so I'm biased).

It takes a bit of time to get going, but once it does, hooo boy.
