Ancient Iberians (spanish)
« on: 15 May 2014, 11:41:32 AM »
Hi all!

Several years ago I bought these ancient Iberians from Crusader Miniatures, but I had not painted them until now. Theya re so old that I even I have lost 3 out 8 shields...
They have a very heroic scale (they are quite big) but I like a lot the definition and details of these miniatures.

The Iberians were the peoples living in the Mediterranean coast of Hispania, it is 0% accurate to say "spanish"  ;)

If you press on the photos you can watch them bigger:

In this fotos you can see the two types of shadows I have painted. In the minis at the right they are darker, but in the minis at the left they are lighter. What do you think that is better? All your comments are welcome!

Actually I like both styles, they give variation to the group.

Nicely done!  I agree that either shadow style would work.

Well done, Hidalgo, a nice subject and nicely painted.
Variety at colours and shadows is always a good thing.
