Bird Demon sculpt completed
« on: May 17, 2014, 11:25:49 PM »
Hi Everyone

Just a quick Work in Progress photo of the Bird demon that I'm working on for the Antiquis Malleum project.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/821634734517378/?ref=ts&fref=ts

He was designed by Tony Ackland and is about 35mm tall  :)

What do you think so far?

Thanks
George

Looks cool. Quite like the hook demon you made (for the 5th God of Chaos?)

The lower beak appears to take a strange bend right after the ribbed part. that looks a bit off to me beyond that its rather marvellous.

You've got another masterpiece in this one. I love the way the Bird Guy turned out. The feather effect on the lower leg & bird feet really appeal to moi. FANTASTIC WORK!

That thing is so creepy. Well done. It is both disturbing and still looks old school D&D. My only request would be for an alternate set of 'bird claw' style hands. I love the massive hooks, but something that could either grab victims or skewer them would be groovy too.

I have absolutely no need for a giant bird demon, but I find myself kind of wanting one now. Very cool figure!

Expanding on Michka's comment above about alternate hands, this seems like the sort of figure that could be made into a semi-modular demonic thing fairly easily, alternate arms and heads, maybe even alternate torsos and bodies, that sort of thing. Mix and match build-a-horror, maybe?

Amazing.
Could easily double up as some kind of alien predator too.
