Irish Piquets/French Line from Crann Tara Miniatures
« on: May 22, 2014, 03:45:27 PM »
I have received the greens for the next set of releases for my '45 Jacobite Rebellion range.
We have the start of the Irish Piquets - two poses 'at ease' and marching both with respective commands.
The figures can be used for French Infantry as well.
We are also finishing off the British Infantry with the 'at ready' pose and a bit of a gamble the infantry in campaign dress with tricorne turned down (brimmed hat).

The greens have gone off to Griffin for the master mould so I expect production figures to be in stock in around 6 weeks. The web shop will be carrying offers.

There's more picture of the 15 figures being released on my blog

Very nice indeed developing into a lovely range. 8)

On your highlanders, I like the look of them a lot, are their plans for something akin to head swaps as for me I alwasy envisage bearded types etc and your chaps are rather smooth faced and well groomed. I wondered if a way around that would be separate heads for swaps etc?

Quite a lot of debate regarding bearded highlanders! Maybe not as common as you think!
When you look at the Penicuick sketches you will be hard pressed to find a highlander with beard.
However the suggestion of some extra heads is a consideration, near the end of the range I want some more highlanders just in shirts which will allow some earlier armies to be raised. It may be a good time to look at a few conversion sets then.
Thanks
Graham
