Cthonian larvas
« on: 29 November 2006, 08:03:50 PM »
Hello,
I'm very interested in Call of Cthulhu universe, and I really like .45 Adventures rules and all the house rules posted on the forum by some of you.
I'm searching the web for creatures and other similar stuff to represent the Mythos, and apart from RAFM stuff I don't know other sources. But I'm very impressed with these two miniatures from Rackham:

They are very cthulhoideid critters!!  :o
What do you think about these figures? Personally I haven't any miniature from this french manufacturer.
Thank you,

David.

really nice ones! Maybe too rackham-like, a bit too many details and also these dolls aren't my cup of tea. But how said quite nice  :)

Those are very interesting and would make great encounters for .45 Adventure (especially if your players didn't know it was coming!)

EM-4 Miniatures have 1/2 of the Dunwich Detective line in production (Old German Metal Magic COC line of the late 80's)

Reaper have some nice bits, Esp: Frog Demon lord, Eldritch Demon (Cthulhu), Faceless Horror (Shoggoth type), The recent Googlers are basically Deep Ones. There are other items that fit also, not sure of titles, Brain Eater of m-nor (Or some such thing) in the Warlord line.

Heresy: Ghouls
West Wind: Is worth a look for other horror classics.

The above are proberly the easiest items to find, without trawling E-Bay.

WizKids Clik games: Horror Clix have a few Cthulhu's and some Deep Ones, however getting the Cthulhu's is an expensive task.

Upcoming Note:
Mirilton are reported to be retooling the Old Grenadier COC line for release next year.
Alpha Forge: Have hinted at Cthulhu creatures in the upcoming Horror miniature game.

:freak: The first one looked like it drank too much at the Cthulhu annual party.  Maybe its the Cthulhu version of that one chick in the movie "The 40 Year Old Virgin." :?
