Nice entries!

Elk I like the diagonal street setup, gives the composition a sense of movement which is good for the uhlans :)
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I meant to ask Darth J, is the dock built up with plaster cast blocks? I could do with something similar.

It sure is - although I couldn't tell you where they are from unfortunately. They were also featured in my Round 3 background: "Indian Rope Trick".  The dock planking itself was also featured as part of the background scenery in Rd 8: "Nefarious Dr. Koo".  I tried to re-use some of my background scenery from different angles and configurations this year.
