This thread is going to cover all the details of my preparation for the game which I will be presenting at this years BLAM in October.

The game is based on the famous abduction of Cynthia Anne Parker and the massacre of most of her family by Comanche warriors at Fort Parker, Texas in 1836. The John Ford film The Searchers was said to be inspired by this tragic incident.
The game will be played on a 6ftx4ft table and will comprise an area of rocks/buttes, a river, plenty of shrub/bushes and a homestead. I will use my existing terrain boards so no need to build new ones. I am currently building terrain features, organing the necessary figures and developing the rules using Dr De'Ath's Little Lead Adventures.
I have started building the rock/cliff/butte sections and have made three so far out of cork bark mounted on MDF. I still need to design and construct the homestead. This will include outlying buildings, corrals etc. It will not be my usual adobe style buildings, but a mud brick cabin.
Bugsda is painting the figures for me and has already completed half of the Comanche. I'm using the Comanche by Conquest Miniatures and the Texian settlers will come from my Boot Hill Miniatures range and other assorted Wild West figures.
Here are some teasers showing Bugsda's brilliant brushwork on some of the Comanche with the buttes as a backdrop.

Our first play test of the rules is tomorrow night, so expect to see some AAR photos later this week.
