Still amazed at the standard of work here. A question, how did you do those wonderful heads?

.... A question, how did you do those wonderful heads?

All the credit for the wonderful heads belongs to Gripping Beast who make sprues of them for their Woodbine Designs range....I spotted them on their site when I launched on the project...fast and faultless service from them....once the basic head swap had been achieved I used that as an excuse to launch myself into using a bit of Green Stuff as I had remained mystified by its properties for far too long....after a ten minute whizz around 'net world for tips and advice I took the leap....a couple of hours of mixing and glueing later and my chaps looked like the first shot attached....after that it was all down to my favourite 00 Winsor and Newton series 7 brush

Someone need to pop on over to Gripping Beast, grab some slouch hat heads and do an ANZAC team, that or helmets and have a middle of the battlefield cricket match, Brodie helmets on one side, pickelhaubes on the other.

Amazing painting.  The work on the sweaters alone is astounding - you can almost feel the texture.
